YorKitchen Launches Passport to Flavors Series

YORK, PA. – February 21, 2013 – YorKitchen is pleased to introduce its newest signature event, the Passport to Flavors Series.

The Passport to Flavors Series, a series of pop-up restaurants hosted by YorKitchen featuring different cuisines from around the world, will premiere on Saturday, February 23 at 6 p.m.

The event will include a three-course menu offering traditional Malaysian dishes as prepared by Sharmini’s Kitchen.

A pop-up restaurant is a dining establishment that is open from one to several nights, usually in an existing restaurant or other commercial food establishment. Equal parts dinner party and dinner theater, a pop-up restaurant allows patrons to sample new foods outside of the traditional restaurant experience, providing for a more intimate experience. In addition, featured chefs are provided with the opportunity to experiment with cooking without being required to invest in a full restaurant.

Located in downtown York’s Central Market, YorKitchen provides a unique service to residents of the City of York, the surrounding Central Pennsylvania area and beyond. The modern commercial kitchen is available for rent to food producers and for nutrition educational training.
