Farm to Freezer’s cooking sessions cater to pros and rookies

Greg Strickler was stirring the pot, happily.The pot simmered on the stove, bubbling with 80 quarts of tomato, turkey and vegetable soup Strickler, his wife Rita Meisenhelder and others were making Sunday evening at Farm to Freezer.The Spring Garden Township couple was among the two dozen or so folks who participated in one of Farm to Freezer's communal cooking sessions at the company's new location in North York.

Farm to Freezer relocated in September from YorKitchen at Central Market to a building on East Seventh Avenue that Yorktowne Business Institute formerly used for its culinary arts program. Yorktowne Business Institute closed earlier this year.
